Description
Andrea Tsurumi spells out the premise of her new sketch-zine/comic in the title, Walking Through the Philadelphia Museum of Art A Week After The Wedding. Walking among artifacts and art from hundreds and thousands of years ago, Andrea reflects on the dangers of old ideas of what it means to be a wife. She also ponders how past generations of museum patrons, or the subjects of the paintings, or the smiths who built armor each loved and lived.
At a moment of a life milestone, Andrea sees herself both in her own and society’s time line, and she uses her non-linear sketch-book style of drawings to make her meditations float through space. This short comic encourages us to reflect on our life and that of others.
