Description

Shelli is having a rough time in high school. She’s a possum in a school where no one else is. She blames this on why she has just one friend in the entire school. But her friend, Anna (who has no trouble making friends), suggests Shelli needs to be more outgoing.

This comic is a great little story about feeling like an outsider. Miranda Harmon doesn’t take sides on who is responsible for Shelli’s feelings of isolation or how to solve them, instead, Possum Girl’s progress is nuanced and incremental. I wish I had this comic when I was in middle and high school.
