Description
Paroxysm is an independent black and white anthology created by Natalia Lopes that features comics, illustration, poetry and prose from independent artists and authors. The anthology’s mission is to raise the vocal chords of underrepresented creatives working in the horror genre and has highlighted many POC, disabled, women, trans, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized contributors.
This second volume showcases work surrounding the themes of “possession/obsession.” It includes a cautionary tale about a manic art student working on his final project at the cost of his body and sanity, an investigator hoping to piece together the culprit in a series of murders linked with the occult, a view into a Purge-like world helmed by a community app, the account of a demon exorcism gone wrong, and more.
