Description
In the second issue of Ellen Lindner’s exploration of the history of gender rebellion in American Baseball, Lost Diamonds, we visit milestones between 1910 to 1932. The involvement of AFAB players in the growing world of baseball was robust and actively challenged gender norms of the time.
Ellen makes accessible history that is regularly simplified, overlooked, and intentionally hidden. The idea that baseball has always been a game exclusive to AMAB players is repeatedly debunked. It’s an idea that is only true when authorities ban AFAB players.
