Description
In this short minicomic, Marnie Galloway is putting library books away in the stacks. With earbuds in her ears, she has isolated herself in this quiet job. A Jorge Luis Borges book catches her eyes, and she sits down to read it, and inspires her to attempt to escape…her isolation? the library? her reality?
The comic is wordless, so the visuals carry the story, and Marnie plays with formal differences ideas of inside and outside, between our built world and the natural one outside it, and within us. The library in which she is working is full of straight lines and right angles. The snowy void into which she escapes is full of round flakes. A curious comic that is open to a lot of interpretation.
