Description
Isolated, an anthology edited by Tana Oshima, collects comics from around the world, about the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than focusing on the virus itself, or its global impact, these 17 4-page comics focus on intimate psychological and social impacts of lock-downs during the early months of 2020.
What does it feel like to be stuck in the apartment all day? Why are all the stores still refusing paper money? Is a visit to the grocery store tempting death? What small rituals coul keep us connected to the world outside?
One could ask what’s left to be said about a pandemic we’ve been living through for two and a half years, but this anthology brings fresh perspectives, and makes us feel a little less alone by the shared experiences of being cut off from everyone else.
