Description

In Catalina Rufin’s Grasping At Straws, Jenny is starting an intensive outpatient rehabilitation for an eating disorder. Starting the program is emotionally difficult, so she starts to rely on an older guy named Wallace, who’s recovering from substance abuse for support. What Jenny thinks she needs to heal and what she actually needs might be different.

Catalina’s comic is patient and expressive, focusing on developing complex characters. Their cartooning is as vibrant as the colors they use to make this comic really pop!
