Description
Betty Yaris is 32-years old, and in the few years she’s lived in town, she’s developed a close knit group of friends. Betty starts seeing versions of her friends -and then herself- from four years in the future. With the encouragement of her friends, Betty takes a chance and strikes up a conversation with her future self. An optimistic future changes when Betty finally goes to the doctor about a problem with her leg.
The two concluding chapters of Four Years by Kevin Czap paint a beautiful portrait of a person working to find her place in the world. I love letter to love, Four Years beautifully captures the power of friendship and the importance of treasuring those who bring love to your life.
Kevin’s naturalistic storytelling and lush cartooning are complex and perfectly executed!
