Description

The stakes are high in the second and final volume of Shawn Kuruneru’s horror samurai comic, Fool’s Wish! Brothers Ryu and Wolf go in search of their parents and uncle who have all been consumed by a cursed tree in the Kagami Mountains. The tree is said to grant wishes, but instead it twists the words of those who seek it out, leading to terrible results.

Shawn’s reframing the second volume’s perspective from the adults in the story to the children give it a new life, and show how dangerous the story’s situation is! Shawn clearly has fun drawing the innocence of the children, the dangers of the supernatural forces that swirl around them, and tons of great flora!
