Description

Elliott G made Ebb Tide as a love letter to themselves, but hopes others see themselves within its purple and orange pages. Elliott recounts in unblinking detail the feelings around the abuse and sexual assault they have survived, and the circuitous path of their healing and rebirth.

Elliott’s poetic, complicated, and honest writing is paired with gorgeous drawings of the environment along the east coast of Florida. The vastness of the ocean, the age of the mangroves, and the way the natural life heals after tropical cyclones all tie into the themes of this comic.
