A native New Yorker, BARBARA THOMAS has lived in Cambridge, MA for over two decades. An avid writer since her childhood, her stories fall into the categories of horror, erotica, speculative fiction, afro futurism, and the Caribbean diaspora. Barbara holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT, runs Artifact Soapworks, and teaches soap making.
When not writing, Barbara is a Cambridge Women’s Commissioner, a member of the FBI Citizens’ Academy, an active member of the Improv Boston community, a scuba diver, a voice-over artist, and a model.
Boston-based illustrator TIMOTHY WALL has been doodling since the early 70s, when he first surprised his mother with a cartoon of a mermaid with a penis AND breasts. Timothy has had a long career as a software architect, building and securing large software systems, but has always found time to devote to his visual interests in animation, video games, and various forms of design and illustration.
Timothy's work has evolved from rough pencils on virtually every surface, to quick ballpoint-pen studies, to watercolor and oils, before realizing that this is the process for making comics. Timothy finds that the graphic novel format is a happy medium between the exhausting work of tweening for animation and focusing large amounts of time on a single image. Timothy has recently been experimenting with a fully digital pipeline, but still enjoys the look and feel of analog.
